Meet the therapist

Healing happens in connection. I believe that authenticity is the key to building a sense of connection and safety so a client can feel comfortable exploring even the most sensitive topics.

You deserve a space where you can show up exactly as you are to heal from trauma, repair relationships, raise children into thriving adults, or navigate life transitions. My goal isn’t to empower my clients. My goal is to give you the knowledge and tools to empower yourself! I do this with compassion, science, psychoeducation, mutual authenticity, and the world’s comfiest couch!

My life had been taken over by a lifetime of traumas. I avoided therapy because it just felt too overwhelming. Angela prioritized my sense of safety as we worked through stuff that once paralyzed me. Now, I'm able to manage my everyday life, I believe in myself, and I know who I am as a person. For the first time in my life, I know that I deserve to take up space in the world.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) helps your brain process traumatic events in using the brain’s natural healing mechanisms, making it one of the most gentle, evidence-based therapies for treating trauma. It allows the brain to explore issues without becoming overwhelmed, which allows deeper healing to happen. As a result, reminders of the events (“triggers”) no longer create trauma responses (symptoms).

Break free from the trauma that’s holding you back

I could barely talk about what happened to me. EMDR allowed me to heal without having to talk about it in detail. Now, it's just something that happened. I never thought that thinking about it would feel as unsettling as remembering when I fell of my bike when I was 6!
